Endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty, or ESG, is a safe and effective, incisionless procedure that reduces the stomach size by 70-80%. Who is a good candidate for ESG?
The ESG is designed for adults with a BMI 30 -50 kg/m2 or above and have not been able to lose weight through diet and exercise alone. However certain health conditions may prevent you from receiving an ESG. How is the ESG procedure performed?
The ESG procedure is a non-invasive, incisionless procedure performed using a suturing device attached to a camera that is inserted through your mouth while you are asleep. Once the camera reaches the stomach, a few sutures are placed to sew the stomach and decrease the size by 70-80%.

What are the side effects?
