Nitesh Vachhani, MD

Dr. Nitesh Vachhani is a board certified gastroenterologist and a board certified internist who has been practicing in Richmond, Rosenberg, and Sugar Land, TX since 2009. He is an active member of numerous national and local organizations, including the American Gastroenterological Association and Fort Bend Medical Society.

Dr. Vachhani grew up locally in the Cypress Fairbanks area. He graduated valedictorian from Cypress Falls High School and then earned a BS in Finance at Trinity, University, earning Magna Cum Laude in the process. After completing medical school in San Antonio, he did his Internal Medicine training at Baylor College of Medicine and then did a three year fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of New Mexico. While a fellow, Dr. Vachhani worked under nationally renowned professors, performing clinical research and presenting at national gastroenterology conferences, including the Western Student Medical Research Forum in Carmel, California.

Dr. Vachhani currently has special interests in liver disease and inflammatory bowel disease. He treats Hepatitis C with some of the most current and successful drugs available. In addition to colorectal screening, he also performs advanced endoscopy, including endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography and esophageal/colon stenting for cancers.

In his spare time, Dr. Vachhani is an avid Houston sports fan, as well as a food enthusiast of the vast cuisine available in the local area.
